We’re not ashamed of this good news, even if it cuts across cultural currents.
While much of the Western world is becoming more uncomfortable with Jesus Christ, we are becoming more and more excited about His power in our lives! People are experiencing His love in their hearts, lives are being freed up from confusion, addiction, and fear, and bodies are being healed in Jesus’ name.
Come and see for yourself any Sunday morning at the Fredericton Christian Academy with worship starting at 9:30 AM. He’s the same today as when He walked the earth 2000 years ago.
Jerome and his wife Andrea have been in pastoral ministry since 1992 both in traditional church settings and church planting. In 2009 they moved from Halifax where they had been pastoring to begin the church plant of Cross Current Community Church with Keith and Janet McMullin. Jerome’s and Andrea’s heart is for discipleship and for Christ’s Bride being prepared for His return.
Keith and his wife Janet have a desire for evangelism. The Lord has given them many opportunities for soul winning at home and abroad. They have traveled to Jamaica to bring dental care and to South Africa to help in a church plant. Serving the Lord as Elders of Cross Current is now their joy and privilege.
Along with the Elders, Cross Current is led by a team of Deacons who bring counsel and support and various gifts of the Spirit.
Each month the Leadership team (Elder couples, and Deacons) meet to seek the Lord’s counsel, direction, and vision for His building of His Church.
What We Believe
The short version of What We Believe is simply this: We love Jesus because He first loved us and brought us home to our Heavenly Father!
Sometimes it’s easiest to know where a church group stands by who it resonates with. We are excited about what God is doing at places like Bethel Church, Catch The Fire, Global Awakening and Iris Ministries, and align ourselves with their mission and passion!
Our official doctrinal statement
is as follows:
The Holy Scriptures, as originally given by God, are divinely inspired, infallible, entirely trustworthy, and constitute the only supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
The salvation of lost and sinful humanity is possible only through the merits of the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, received by faith apart from works, and is characterized by regeneration by the Holy Spirit.
Our Lord Jesus Christ is God manifest in the flesh; we affirm his virgin birth, sinless humanity, divine miracles, vicarious and atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension, ongoing mediatorial work, and personal return in power and glory.
The Holy Spirit enables believers to live a holy life, to witness and work for the Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit works today in signs, wonders, and miracles to reveal Jesus Christ to the world and to His children. (Acts 1:8)
The Church, the body of Christ, consists of all true believers. The Church functions within the 5 fold ministry revealed in Ephesians 4:11-12
Ultimately God will judge the living and the dead, those who are saved unto the resurrection of life, those who are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
